Lavizshvili (suspension) was cut by the UFC on Tuesday, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lazishvili's UFC career went about as poorly as it possibly could have. He fought just once, losing to Jonathan Martinez by unanimous decision in October. He was then suspended for 10 months after testing positive for clomiphene and was subsequently cut.

Lazishvili (foot) was handed a nine-month suspension Tuesday after failing a drug test, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lazishvili tested positive for anti-estrogen agent clomiphene in October prior to his UFC debut loss against Jonathan Martinez. The suspension is retroactive to the date of the failed test, so he'll be able to return to action on July 24. Lazishvili is already in the midst of a six-month medical suspension after injuring his foot in his loss to Martinez, so the additional ban won't keep him out of action for too much longer.

ANALYSIS

Lazishvili lost to Jonathan Martinez via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Finally making his UFC debut after an undisclosed injury kept him out of a scheduled fight against Jack Shore in early-September, Lazishvili struggled in this one. Previously undefeated in eight career bouts, the soon-to-be 29-year-old found himself chasing Martinez on the scorecards for the duration of the bout. He landed just 39 percent of his total strikes (66-163) and failed on all six of his takedown attempts. Lazishvili is likely to get another opportunity with the company, but little should be expected after this effort.

Lazishvili will take on Jonathan Martinez in a bantamweight bout at UFC Vegas 41 on Saturday, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Lazishvili was cut by the UFC at the end of August following him having to withdraw from a bout with Jack Shore due to injury. It looks like the promotion will give him another chance to fill in on short notice for Aaron Phillips, who is out with an illness.
