2021 Fantasy Outlook
After investing a third-round pick on Bowden last April, the Raiders made a surprising move to trade the Kentucky product to the Dolphins just prior to the start of the 2020 regular season. Over the course 10 appearances as a rookie, Bowden caught 28 of 37 targets for 211 yards while also logging nine carries for 32 yards. While the 5-foot-11, 187 pounder's role heading into the coming season is unclear, his versatility is an asset to Miami's offense and if injuries hit either the team's wideout or running back corps, Bowden could surface on the fantasy radar in deeper formats. 2021 NFL Team Previews: Miami Dolphins

With no obstacles in his path to the starting job, Tua Tagovailoa is the leader of the Dolphins offense. Still, Miami's defense may be its best ticket to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
2020 Fantasy Outlook
Bowden got the "Athlete" label as a four-star recruit out of high school, choosing Kentucky over some much bigger programs. Three years later, he enters the NFL as a third-round draft pick still fighting the same battle, with his long-term position unclear. He primarily played wide receiver for the Wildcats, even making the Biletnikoff Award watch list last summer. But when injuries knocked out Kentucky's top two quarterbacks early last season, Bowden pushed the coaching staff to let him take over as the signal-caller, and he went on to pile up 1,468 rushing yards and 13 TDs as a zone-read QB who rarely threw the ball. A hamstring strain prevented Bowden from working out at the 2020 combine, but he claims to consistently run the 40yard dash in the 4.4-4.5 range. The Raiders unexpectedly dealt Bowden to Miami only days before the start of the regular season, giving him the difficult task of quickly adjusting to an entirely different second offensive scheme with limited cushion. Once Bowden does get up to speed in Miami, however, he could have an easier path to touches behind Jordan Howard and Matt Breida than he did behind Josh Jacobs and Jalen Richard. The Dolphins also have a significant hole at receiver behind DeVante Parker and Preston Williams, a hint that Bowden could see more time at his primary collegiate position.
