RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Corey Peters.
Since arriving in Arizona in the offseason on a three-year deal, Peters has worked his way into the starting lineup at nose tackle over holdover Alameda Ta'amu. In five professional seasons, the 27-year-old has missed only nine games, averaging 29 tackles (18 solo) and 2.2 sacks per season. Furthermore, Peters has picked up one interception, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery for a touchdown along the way.
Peters will see some rotational work at defensive end, but the arrival of Tyson Jackson limits his upside. He did rack up five sacks in 2013, so he'll definitely have a chance to earn a bigger role in the defensive scheme.
Peters will provide depth at defensive tackle in 2013.
Peters was placed on the PUP list to begin the season, so he must sit out the first six games. The Falcons have a bye Week 7, so his first game action might not be until October 28. Peria Jerry will starts at defensive tackle in his absence.
Peters will start at defensive tackle for the Falcons in 2011. He'll average roughly 2-3 tackles a game if he stays healthy,
Peters will see time at defensive tackle this season behind starters Peria Jerry and Jonathan Babineaux.
