Moves back to tight end
Coach Kirby Smart said that Gilbert (personal) has moved back to tight end, Seth Emerson of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Gilbert spent the large portion of last season away from the team for personal reasons. He switched to WR prior to the start of the campaign, but coach Smart admitted that Gilbert is a tight end and he should develop as such.

2021 Fantasy Outlook
Gilbert is a transfer from LSU who will act as a sort of hybrid tight end/wide receiver that has become so prevalent in the game in this day and age. The No. 1 tight end in the class of 2020, Gilbert snagged 35 passes for 368 yards and two touchdowns in eight games before opting out of the remainder of the campaign with the Tigers. Gilbert is expected to eventually play wide receiver exclusively, as the Bulldogs do have Darnell Washington at tight end, who was ranked as the No. 2 player at that position behind Gilbert in the class of 2020. The loss of George Pickens to a torn ACL in March only furthered the need for another pass catcher at the wide receiver position. Gilbert should be a matchup nightmare for opposing defensive backs, especially in the red zone.
