RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman is not on the team's depth chart for Friday's game against the Redblacks.

Scheuerman was demoted to the practice roster this past week as Jalen Saunders (undisclosed) returned from injury. It appears as though the running back will remain off the active roster for the rest of the 2017 season, barring any more injuries to a couple of the regulars.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman (undisclosed) will not play in Saturday's game against the Argonauts.

This will be the second straight game that Scheuerman will be inactive, and there has been no word as to when he'll be set to return. C.J. Gable will operate as the team's No. 1 running back this weekend.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman was placed on the one-game injured list for Week 14.

Scheuerman has been shuffled all over the Tiger-Cats' roster this season, and he will spend this week on the injured list. Alex Green will be Hamilton's top running back in Friday's matchup with the Lions.

September 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman (undisclosed) is listed as the third-string running back for Friday's game against the Roughriders.

Scheuerman landed on the one-game injured list last week after spending a couple weeks on the practice roster, but the Tiger-Cats decided to activate him for Week 13. Given his standing on the depth chart, though, it seems unlikely he will make much of a fantasy impact.

August 17, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman was moved to the practice roster for Week 9.

Scheuerman averaged an impressive 6.0 YPC in three starts for the Tiger-Cats earlier this year, but he was a game-day scratch the last two weeks, and will sit out again in Friday's matchup with the Redblacks.

August 12, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman was scratched from the lineup for Saturday's game against the Blue Bombers.

Scheuerman was listed as the Tiger-Cats' backup running back this week, but he will not suit up Saturday. C.J. Gable will be Hamilton's primary running back.

August 4, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman has been scratched from Friday's matchup against the Eskimos, Drew Edwards of 3DownNation.com reports.

Scheuerman, who has not taken the field since he tallied 68 yards on 10 carries on July 20th, will be sidelined again Friday. The Tiger-Cats will continue to go with C.J. Gable at running back, so until head coach Kent Austin opts to go a different route, expect Scheuerman to remain on the sideline.

July 27, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman will be replaced in the starting lineup by C.J. Gable for Saturday's game against the Stampeders, 3DownNation reports.

Scheuerman has played well since taking over for Gable in Week 3, catching nine passes and averaging 6.0 YPC, but head coach Kent Austin will go back to Gable for at least one game. It remains to be seen what the Tiger-Cats' plans for the running back position are beyond Week 6.

July 21, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman gained 68 yards on 10 carries and added 36 yards on two receptions in Thursday's 31-28 loss to the Eskimos.

The young running back has been a rare bright spot in a dismal campaign thus far for the Ti-Cats, and Thursday's effort featured a pair of new personal bests for the 24-year-old. Scheuerman's 40-yard jaunt in the first quarter represented the longest run of his two-year CFL career, while the 10 carries he saw were the most he's received this season. The Lafayette product's role continues to grow each week, and his ability to make things happen in space has led to an impressive YPC of 6.0 over his first three games. Given his unquestioned role as the lead back, he's worthy of fantasy consideration each week despite playing on perhaps the league's most ineffective offense.

July 15, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman gained 58 yards and scored a touchdown on eight carries while adding nine yards on three receptions in Saturday's 41-26 loss to the Lions.

If not for the Ti-Cats having to play some catch-up in the second half, Scheuerman may have put together an even better effort, but he did average 7.2 yards per carry in his limited opportunity. The 24-year-old saw three additional carries than in Week 3, and given the positive results, he seems firmly entrenched as Hamilton's top backfield option for the time being. The Ti-Cats' questionable defense may be one limiting factor for his fantasy value, however, as sizable second-half deficits the likes of which Hamilton has seen naturally lead to a reduced role for the running game.

July 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman will start at running back again in Week 4.

Scheuerman did not get much going as the Tiger-Cats' top running back in Week 3, but he will get another chance to show what he can do this week. Fellow running back and former starter C.J. Gable will remain in a reserve role for the time being.

July 8, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman gained 19 yards on five rushes and added 29 yards on four receptions in Saturday's 37-20 loss to the Roughriders.

Week 1 starter C.J. Gable headed to the bench in Week 3, giving Scheuerman a crack at the starting tailback job. He offered serviceable production in his limited opportunities, and Hamilton's sizable second-half deficit played a large part in taking him out of the equation on offense. The 24-year-old only has 21 career carries, so his ceiling remains somewhat of a mystery. Given the struggles of the Ti-Cats offense over their first two games, head coach Kent Austin may well opt to give Scheuerman another shot as the starter in a Week 4 tilt against the Lions.

July 6, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman will replace C.J. Gable as the Tiger-Cats' starting running back in Saturday's game against the Roughriders, 3 Down Nation reports.

Gable struggled to get much going in Hamilton's last game in Week 1, so head coach Kent Austin decided to change things up and give Scheuerman a chance to show what he can do. Scheuerman appeared in just one game for Hamilton last year due to a broken wrist, but he did rack up 21 touches and 119 total yards in that contest. He could be leaned on heavily again this week with the Tiger-Cats looking to identify some contributors on the offensive side of the ball.

June 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman will open the season as the Tiger-Cats' backup running back, The Hamilton Spectator reports.

Scheuerman was pushed for the No. 2 job during training camp by Alex Green, but Green was eventually cut, allowing Scheuerman to snag the backup spot behind C.J. Gable. That role will not guarantee Scheuerman work however, as he appeared in just three games last year and received carries in only one.

June 12, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman is being pushed by Alex Green for the backup job behind C.J. Gable, the Hamilton Spectator reports.

Scheuerman filled in nicely for an injured Gable last season in Week 13, but he picked up an injury of his own that week and did not play again in 2016. Scheuerman is now healthy, but faces a tough challenge from Green, who saw NFL action each year from 2011 through 2013.

September 26, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman (undisclosed) was placed on the six-game injured list by the Tiger-Cats.

Scheuerman had a big showing in a Week 13 fill-in start with C.J. Gable (knee) injured, but he will not see any work for a while as he works his way back from his own injury.

September 21, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman (undisclosed) will not play in Saturday's game against the Roughriders, Drew Edwards of the Hamilton Spectator reports.

It's still not clear what type of setback Scheuerman is dealing with, but he will not be able to suit up this week. Fellow running back C.J. Gable (knee) is considered questionable for Saturday's contest, so it remains to be seen who will start at running back for the Tiger-Cats this week.

September 21, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman did not participate in Tuesday's practice, the Hamilton Spectator reports.

Scheuerman is coming off a big Week 13 in which he topped 100 total yards while filling in for an injured C.J. Gable (knee), but it appears he is now dealing with an injury of his own, leaving him questionable for this week's matchup with the Roughriders.

September 17, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman carried the ball 16 times for 79 yards and added five catches for 40 yards in Friday's win over the Alouettes.

Getting the start in place of C.J. Gable (knee), Scheuerman shone in the first real action of his CFL career. The rookie could go back to the bench next week in Saskatchewan, as Gable's injury isn't though to be serious, but Scheuerman may have earned himself some touches in a reserve role going forward with Friday's performance.

September 15, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman will start at running back in Friday's game against the Alouettes.

Scheuerman has no carries this season and has not even suited up since Week 2, but he will get a chance to show what he can do this week with starting running back C.J. Gable out with a knee injury.

July 7, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman is not listed on the depth chart for Week 3's tilt with Winnipeg.

Scheuerman has not taken a single snap during the regular season as C.J. Gable has handled the bulk of the workload at running back this season. Scheuerman's next chance to take the field will come next Friday when the Tiger-Cats head to Montreal, although it appears his opportunities this season will be few and far between.

June 18, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Scheuerman ran the ball 13 times for 105 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason win over the Redblacks.

Given that no Tiger-Cat ran for more than 309 yards in all of 2015, Scheuerman's big performance likely opened some eyes, even if it did come against a defense resting a number of its starters. His spot on the RB depth chart is uncertain heading into the regular season, but if he continues to produce when given the chance, he'll see plenty of carries.
