2022 Tournament PreviewTCU solidified its spot in the NCAA Tournament with late-season wins against Texas Tech, Kansas and Texas, the latter as it advanced to the semifinals of the Big 12 tournament. Sophomore Mike Miles (15.0 ppg, 3.9 apg) emerged as one of the conference's top guards after showing potential as a freshman, teaming with Memphis transfer Damion Baugh (10.7 ppg, 4.4 apg, 4.3 rpg) in the backcourt. In the frontcourt, 6-7 Texas A&M transfer Emanuel Miller (10.3 ppg, 6.3 rpg) and 6-11 center Eddie Lampkin (6.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg) help the Horned Frogs rank third in the nation in rebounding rate, providing plenty of second-chance opportunities (3rd in offensive rebounding rate). TCU needs those putbacks because it does not thrive on the perimeter, hitting only 30.4 percent from three-point range (320th). The Horned Frogs live with defense (24th, per KenPom) but might not have enough offense (80th, per KenPom) for a deep run.
