This is a big announcements for the Gators, who will retain the experience of the fifth-year senior in the backcourt, likely in a starting role. Jones averaged 15.3 ppg during his final season at Penn State in 2020-21, but that number was reduced to 8.5 ppg while working in an offense in which he wasn't the go-to scoring option. Still, with the Gators not bringing in any consensus top-100 guards in the 2022 recruiting class, Jones should have an opportunity to expand his role and produce greater counting stats for fantasy managers.
