Bamba will elect to leave Texas for the NBA, Brian Davis of the American-Statesman reports.

Bamba spent only one year at Texas, and recorded 12.9 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.7 blocks in 30 games. He planned on playing only one year for the Longhorns, and will head to the NBA where he'll likely be an early first-round pick.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bamba provided 13 points (6-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and 14 rebounds in the overtime loss to Nevada in the NCAA Tournament on Friday. He added three blocks, but blocked out at the end of regulation.

Bamba was unable to get consistent position in the paint against the smaller Nevada players. The Wolf Pack designed their defense to stack the paint and take Bamba away. He accrued three quick fouls in the second half to be eliminated from the game. The freshman had his 15th double-double and will likely go pro after the season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bamba stated that his toe "is 100 percent" and that he'll be good to go for Thursday's matchup with Nevada, Chip Brown of Horns247.com reports.

Bamba has been nursing a left toe injury, but was able to log quality minutes in the Big 12 Tournament against Texas Tech. He put up 10 points and four boards off the bench, but more importantly, he wasn't limited by the toe injury. Bamba will likely draw the start Thursday and he'll need to play a key role for the Longhorns if they hope to advance in the NCAA Tournament.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bamba (toe) had 10 points and four rebounds off the bench in Thursday's loss to Texas Tech in the Big 12 Tournament.

The freshman was able to get back in the action after battling a toe injury that hampered him down the stretch of the regular season. Bamba was effective against the Red Raiders and helped the Longhorns make it a competitive game, but the lack of contributions beyond him, Jacob Young, and Matt Coleman ultimately sunk Texas. He figures to be available in whichever postseason tournament for which Texas qualifies.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bamba (toe) is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against Texas Tech in the Big 12 Tournament.

While this doesn't officially rule out Bamba by any means, it does imply that he's still too limited to play a full complement of minutes. At this point, Bamba may be able to pick up some minutes off the bench, but his troublesome toe injury continues to be a limiting factor. Jericho Sims and Dylan Osetkowski will start up front for the Longhorns.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Despite not participating in early warmups, Bamba (toe) is getting stretched out ahead of Thursday's game against Texas Tech and he might attempt to play, Brian Davis of the Austin American-Statesman reports.

Bamba could have feasted on an undersized Texas Tech club if fully healthy, having already posted two double-doubles against them this season. He could still contribute in a limited fashion for the Longhorns, who enter the contest as underdogs versus the Red Raiders. Jericho Sims will presumably start again in his place and receive a minutes boost, but Bamba could provide valuable minutes off the bench for Texas' upset bid. Still, it's best to temper expectations for the star big man.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bamba (toe) will be a game-time decision for Thursday's matchup with Texas Tech, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

As expected, Bamba was held out of Wednesday's Big 12 tournament opener against Iowa State, but the team was still able to pull out the victory without him and advanced to the next round. With another day off for added recovery, there's a chance Bamba gets back on the court Thursday, though he'll have to test out the toe during pregame warmups before a final decision is made on his availability. Look for another update just prior to tip-off, but Bamba would be a huge addition both offensively and defensively considering his season averages of 13.0 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3.8 blocks across 30.8 minutes.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

As expected, Bamba (toe) wound up sitting out Wednesday's game against Iowa State. Coach Shaka Smart indicated afterword that he hasn't been ruled out for Thursday, Brian Davis of the Austin American-Statesman reports.

The Longhorns managed to win without their star big man Wednesday, but it will likely be difficult for the team to advance further without him. Texas will face in-state rival Texas Tech on Thursday, potentially providing Bamba with an opportunity to clean up on the glass. The Red Raiders generally roll with a smaller lineup, with 6-foot-11 senior Tommy Hamilton the only player with significant length to receive double-digit minutes.
