Supak has signed a minor-league deal with the A's and received an invitation to spring training.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old was let go by the Brewers at the start of November but will now receive an opportunity with Oakland. Supak was named the Southern League's Most Outstanding Pitcher in 2019 after delivering a 2.20 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 91:23 K:BB over 122.2 innings at Double-A, but he struggled once moving up to Triple-A. He was at Milwaukee's alternate training site in 2020 and spent one day in the majors but didn't pitch.

Weekly Pitcher Rankings: Last Call
September 12, 2020
Todd Zola ranks the week's staring pitching as the regular season comes down the stretch. This the last week to be relatively confident in two-start opportunities.
2020 Fantasy Outlook
Supak impressed in his return trip to Double-A Biloxi, earning Pitcher of the Year honors in the Southern League by going 11-4 with a 2.20 ERA and league-best 0.87 WHIP in 20 starts (122.2 innings) for the Shuckers. The 23-year-old came within one out of a no-hitter twice, illustrating his impressive form with Biloxi. He earned a promotion to Triple-A San Antonio at the end of July but struggled in his first tour of the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League, posting a 9.30 ERA and 1.67 WHIP in seven starts (30 innings) with the Missions. While the 6-foot-5 righty doesn't miss many bats (career 7.8 K/9), he could develop into a reliable back-end starter thanks to his above-average control (career 2.6 BB/9) and a four-pitch repertoire. Supak figures to return to Triple-A for more seasoning to begin the 2020 campaign, though he should make his big-league debut at some point assuming he holds his own.
