RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood was released by the Alouettes on Wednesday.

Underwood played a key role in Montreal's passing attack at the beginning of the season, but he averaged just 23 yards per contest of the last four games, so the Alouettes decided to allocate his roster spot elsewhere. Underwood has recorded 502 yards in 12 games this season, so he could garner interest elsewhere.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood totaled four receptions for 33 yards in Friday's 59-11 loss to the Stampeders.

Underwood drew even with Tyrell Sutton for second in receptions on the Als for the night, posting his second four-catch effort of the last four games in the process. Underwood continues to remain modestly productive in the Montreal passing attack, but like his other teammates on the Als wideout corps, his upside appears to be capped by the turmoil behind center. He'll look to up his production against the Eskimos in Week 16.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood notched three receptions for 45 yards in Saturday's 33-19 loss to the Argonauts.

Underwood's modest yardage total nevertheless served as a team high on a night when Darian Durant had trouble finding a rhythm. The 30-year-old's production continues to fluctuate, as he'd managed just one catch for three yards in Week 13 following a four-reception, 73-yard tally in Week 12. The variance has more or less been par for the course for Underwood thus far, and the team's issues behind center aren't necessarily helping his fantasy prospects. He'll look to continue producing against the Stampeders in Week 15.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood totaled four receptions for 73 yards in Friday's 41-18 loss to the Lions.

Underwood had been quiet since posting a season-best five-reception, 95-yard, one-touchdown effort against the Redblacks in Week 5, seeing action in only two subsequent games and totaling a combined five catches for 80 yards. Friday's effort therefore represented a nice rebound, but his role within the Als offense on a week-to-week basis is far from certain. Nevertheless, he'll look to follow up with another strong performance against the Redblacks in Week 13.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood (undisclosed) is listed as a reserve slotback for Thursday's game against the Redblacks.

Underwood found himself on the injured list the last couple weeks, but he will have a chance to get back on the field Thursday. With him in a backup role, however, it does not appear he will play a major role in this week's game plan.

August 23, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood (undisclosed) remains on the one-game injured list for Week 10.

Underwood spent last week on the injured list, and he will do the same for the second week in a row. Stephen Adekolu will serve as the Alouettes' third option at the wide receiver position Thursday against the Blue Bombers.

August 18, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood was placed on the one-game injured list prior to Saturday's matchup with the Argonauts.

It's not clear why Underwood will be held out Saturday, but he will not suit up for Week 9. With Underwood out, Seydou Junior Haidara will be the top backup at the wide receiver spots.

August 11, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood caught three passes for 45 yards in Friday's 21-9 win over the Argos.

He missed a game with an ankle injury, but Underwood at least looked 100 percent Friday while producing modest numbers in a low-scoring affair. The 30-year-old has caught multiple passes in all six of his games in 2017, however, giving him a solid fantasy floor even if his ceiling isn't particularly high in the Alouettes' defense-first system.

August 10, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood (ankle) will play Friday against the Argonauts, Mathieu Boulay of Le Journal de Montreal reports.

Underwood sat out Montreal's last game in Week 6 due to his injury, but he is ready to get back on the field following the team's Week 7 bye. The Alouettes have not released their Week 8 depth chart just yet, but Underwood figures to occupy his regular role in the team's passing attack.

August 7, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood participated in practice Monday, Didier Ormejuste of RDS.ca reports.

Underwood injured his ankle in his last game against the Blue Bombers, keeping him out of Week 6. The Alouettes' next game is Aug. 11, so Underwood will aim to make his return against the Argonauts. If he's held out again, look for Eugene Lewis to replace him in the lineup.

July 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood will not play in Thursday's game against the Blue Bombers due to an ankle injury, Didier Ormejuste of RDS reports.

Underwood had his best game of the season his last time out, but he also picked up an ankle injury along the way, and will not play in Week 6 as a result. The Alouettes are on bye the following week, so Underwood could be ready to return to action for the team's next game Aug. 11. Eugene Lewis will enter the lineup in his place Thursday.

July 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood caught five passes for 95 yards and a touchdown in Wednesday's 24-19 loss to the Redblacks.

His 51-yard reception from Darian Durant opened the scoring in the second half, as Underwood put together his most productive performance to date in 2017. The third-year receiver has yet to make a big impact in the CFL, but he appears to be well on his way to a career best campaign with 16 catches for 257 yards and two TDs through five games.

July 6, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood caught three passes for 55 yards in Thursday's 23-16 loss to the Lions.

The yardage was a season high, but Underwood has yet to catch more than three passes in a game so far in 2017, putting a decided ceiling on his fantasy value until Darian Durant begins to get into a rhythm at the helm of the Montreal offense.

July 1, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood caught two passes for 38 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 23-19 loss to Edmonton.

He scored the Als' only TD of the game midway through the first quarter but didn't catch another pass the rest of the night. Underwood has had a modest start to the season, catching five passes for 66 yards through two games, but his numbers could improve as he develops more chemistry with new Montreal quarterback Darian Durant.

October 21, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood will start at wide receiver in Saturday's game against the Roughriders.

Underwood will make his Alouettes debut this week and jump right into the starting lineup. There are some targets up for grabs in Montreal with Duron Carter and Kenny Stafford no longer on the roster, but it remains to be seen how things will shake out with quarterback Vernon Adams making his first career start this week.

October 18, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood is expected to join the Alouettes' roster this week, Herb Zurkowsky of the Montreal Gazette reports.

Underwood joined the Alouettes' practice roster in late September, and he is now in line to join the active roster with fellow receivers Duron Carter and Kenny Stafford no longer on the squad. Underwood appeared in three games with the Tiger-Cats earlier this season and racked up 11 receptions for 154 yards.

August 26, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood (undisclosed) was released by the Tiger-Cats on Friday.

Underwood's injury and the team's signing of fellow receiver Tommy Streeter likely have something to do with the team's decision to release the wide receiver. The 29-year-old is no stranger to such adversity, having been signed and eventually released by four separate NFL organizations. It's unclear if intends to return with another CFL team, but he could certainly be given looks elsewhere.

August 13, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood (undisclosed) will not be in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Lions.

Underwood is dealing with an undisclosed injury while fellow receiver Terrence Toliver could be in line for additional targets.

July 22, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood will lose his starting spot at receiver for Saturday's game against the Eskimos due to the return of Terrence Toliver from an undisclosed injury, Drew Edwards of the Hamilton Spectator reports.

Underwood will back up Toliver at wide receiver, but could still remain a viable option in the passing attack as Toliver may not be 100 percent just yet.

July 16, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood caught four passes for a team-leading 68 yards in Friday's win over the Alouettes,

Both offenses struggled in this one, but Underwood was able to haul in a 41-yard reception to salvage his numbers. He's picked up the pace a bit in his second CFL season, but he still only has 11 catches for 154 yards through three games. The impending return of Zach Collaros (knee) at quarterback could help boost Hamilton's passing attack, however.

July 7, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood is listed as a starting receiver for Thursday's game against the Blue Bombers.

Underwood will move to the top of the receiver depth chart with fellow receivers Terrence Toliver and Mike Jones out this week. Underwood tallied three receptions for 46 yards in his Week 2 season debut, but both marks -- as well as his six targets -- ranked fourth on the squad.

June 30, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood (head) will return to action against the Lions on Friday, CFJC Today reports.

Underwood totaled 557 yards and three touchdowns on 34 receptions in 2015. He's a popular breakout candidate for the 2016 campaign, so don't be surprised if he sees an increase across the board as a member of the Tiger-Cats' aerial attack.

June 23, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood (head) will open the season on the 1-game injured list.

Underwood will sit out at least one game with the head injury he suffered in the Tiger-Cats' final preseason game. It's not clear if he will miss further action beyond Hamilton's season opener Thursday night, but he should factor into the team's receiving mix once he has been cleared to take the field.

June 21, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Underwood suffered a head injury in Hamilton's final preseason game, the Hamilton Spectator reports.

Underwood was drawing praise in training camp but his status for the start of the regular season is unclear.
